Vocaloids and Utauloids are voicebanks of the Vocaloid and UTAU sythesizer softwares! They are used to make songs :3 Think of them as cute robot singers >_<

They are driven by the people, and upheld by them, unlike most modern governments. This makes the Vocaloid fandom better than many countries today from this standpoint. This community, along with countless others, however, mustn't remain a form of escapism for the oppressed, but rather as tools to further the will of the people through art. So far we have been one of the most successful communities in this respect.

My favorite utau is Kasane Teto!, she is 31 years old, and has little drill things as a haircut..

As for the music itself, I prefer newer Teto songs to the older ones, even though the older ones are good. I'd suggest Machine Love and Minimum rage as a good introduction for modern audiences.

Teto is commonly associated with Hatsune Miku (the most well known vocaloid) and Akita Neru (the yellow one). These three are collectively refered to as "triple baka", the name stemming from a song of the same name.
